After more than a decade trading as Thornhill Plumbing, Huw is rebranding as Sandbanks Plumber to reflect the area where the business is now firmly established.
Huw is a four-time regional winner at the prestigious Heating Installer Awards; He was also a semi-finalist in Screwfix Top Tradesperson and has been featured several times in the South Wales Echo and Bournemouth Echo.
Alongside his work with customers, Huw remains active within the industry as a judge and founding contributor to the Plumber Awards and through work helping to shape future plumbing qualifications.

We're based in Hamworthy (BH15) and work primarily across the BH13, BH14 and BH15 postcode areas, covering Sandbanks, Lilliput, Branksome Park, Canford Cliffs and Lower Parkstone.
Yes. We are Gas Safe Registered, NVQ Level 3 qualified, and are a member of the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering (CIPHE) along with many other plumbing certifications.
We are fully insured and our public liability insurance covers us for up to £10 million.
All our work is fully guaranteed for your peace of mind. If there any issues with our work we return free of charge ASAP; we pride ourselves on our aftercare.

No. But our pricing is more than fair based on the quality of workmanship. The reason behind our hundreds of 5 Star reviews and why so many customers have us back is because we pride ourselves on not cutting corners. The old saying "you get what you pay for" is true in plumbing as well. If you pay a fair price and have the work done right the first time, it always ends up cheaper in the long run.
Most of our work is done on an hourly rate. Our only fixed price work is Boiler service , gas safety certificates and boiler replacement/heating installation.
Larger jobs require a visit to accurately quote.
Lola and I provide a high-quality, efficient service and work cleanly with the utmost respect for you and your property.
STANDARD FEE
The standard fee for myself and Lola is £100 for the first hour and £20 per quarter hour thereafter.
Our standard bookings are available Tuesday through Thursday.
For your peace of mind if we are unable to correctly diagnose or repair your issue (very unlikely), there is no charge.
VIP SERVICE FEE
For a faster solution, I offer a VIP service for same-day or emergency bookings from Monday to Friday. This is subject to my availability and is charged at x1.5 the standard rate.
Mondays and Fridays are set aside for tool/stock organisation and training. This enables us to work more efficiently and also allows us to be available on those days for priority (VIP) bookings and emergency calls.
OUT OF HOURS FEES
My fee for all out-of-hours (4-10pm)and weekend bookings are x2 the standard rate.
I try my very best to keep any higher rate work to under 1 hour. You get just myself so have my full undivided attention.
I am fully qualified, insured, and dedicated to providing meticulous repairs and excellent aftercare.
I only charge for my productive time on the job, so you can be confident in a clear, fair bill.

We offer three appointment slots each day:
First appointment: fixed arrival at 8am.
Second appointment: arrival between 9am and 12 noon.
Third appointment: arrival between 11am and 4pm.
Because plumbing and heating work can be unpredictable, we cannot guarantee an exact arrival time for the second and third appointments. If an earlier job develops unforeseen complications, the third appointment may occasionally need to be rearranged.
However, we will send you a text approximately 30 minutes before arrival, so you do not need to wait at home throughout the full appointment window.
We do not charge a call-out fee and in the unlikely event we cannot correctly diagnose or repair your issue, there is no charge.
You can be assured that our lead engineer Huw, is in attendance at every job we carry out.
Yes. We will chat with you before coming out to make sure it is an emergency first to save you money, but if it is truly an emergency, you can count on us to be there in a timely manner to get you sorted.
