Yes. We hold a City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing and Heating and are a member of the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering (CIPHE). All our work is fully insured and guaranteed for your peace of mind. We take pride in the qualifications and expertise of our team. Regular plumbing maintenance is essential to prevent unexpected issues and prolong the lifespan of your plumbing system, including your boiler. We recommend scheduling a professional plumbing inspection and maintenance service at least once a year. During this visit, our plumbers will assess your entire plumbing system, check for leaks, inspect fixtures, and ensure that everything is functioning efficiently. This proactive approach helps identify and address potential problems before they become major, saving you money and preventing inconveniences down the road.
No. But our pricing is more than fair based on the quality of workmanship. The reason behind our hundreds of 5 Star reviews and why so many customers have us back is because we pride ourselves on not cutting corners. The ole saying "you get what you pay for" is true in plumbing as well. If you pay a fair price and have the work done right the first time, it always ends up cheaper in the long run.
Most of our work is done on an hourly rate. Our only fixed price work is Boiler service , gas safety certificates and boiler replacement/heating installation.
Larger jobs require a visit to accurately quote.

STANDARD FEE
The standard fee for myself and Lola is £100 for the first hour and £20 per quarter hour thereafter.
Our standard bookings are available Tuesday through Thursday.
For your peace of mind if we are unable to correctly diagnose or repair your issue (very unlikely), there is no charge.
VIP SERVICE FEE
For a faster solution, I offer a VIP service for same-day or emergency bookings from Monday to Friday. This is subject to my availability and is charged at x1.5 the standard rate.
Mondays and Fridays are set aside for tool/stock organisation and training. This enables us to work more efficiently and also allows us to be available on those days for priority (VIP) bookings and emergency calls.
OUT OF HOURS FEES
My fee for all out-of-hours (4-10pm)and weekend bookings are x2 the standard rate.
For midnight calls (between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m.), a higher rate of x3 will apply.
I try my very best to keep any higher rate work to under 1 hour. You get just myself so have my full undivided attention.
I am fully qualified, insured, and dedicated to providing meticulous repairs and excellent aftercare.
I only charge for my productive time on the job, so you can be confident in a clear, fair bill.

Usually yes. However, because of the nature of our work, jobs sometimes run on longer than expected so we cannot absolutely guarantee it every time. But don't worry, if we are going to be a bit later than expected we will send you a courtesy text at least 30 minutes before our appointment to let you know our new expected arrival time. We'll never leave you wondering.
Simple — if we show up and can't solve the problem, you don't pay a penny. We think that's only fair.
Jobs are carried out by our two-person team. Alongside the business owner, you'll also meet Lola, our apprentice who is currently completing her NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing on a day-release programme at college. Lola is in her first year with us and is polite, hardworking and a pleasure to have around. We always arrive well presented and treat your home with the utmost care and respect.
Yes. We will chat with you before coming out to make sure it is an emergency first to save you money, but if it is truly an emergency, you can count on us to be there in a timely manner to get you sorted.

We relocated from Wales 4 years ago, where we ran a well-regarded, award winning plumbing business (Thornhill Plumbing) for many years. After settling in Poole, we rebranded as Sandbanks Plumber to reflect our new home and the premium areas we serve. The reputation we built in Wales — through reviews, awards and word of mouth — gave us a strong foundation to build on here in Dorset.
